DoctorOnCall is the first platform in Malaysia that allows you to speak to a doctor via SmartPhone, PC or Tablet. Malaysian adoption rate for internet and smart devices is one of the highest in this region. After SmartPhones took over PCs as the way consumers browse the web, it wouldn’t be a surprise if smartphones can be diagnostic tools for doctors.
During a presentation by DoctorOnCall in our office, anyone with a Smart Device with a front facing camera can start to connect to a doctor in seconds with 3 easy steps.
Once connected you will be able to speak to a doctor either via Chat, Phone or Video Call. The doctor will ask a series of questions in order to diagnose a patient. If the attending doctor is confident with his diagnosis, he will prescribe the medication and upload the prescription online. The patient can either purchase the medicine at a pharmacy or via online pharmacies whom partnered with DoctorOnCall. It even provide doorstep delivery to your office or home. According to its co-founder Mr Maran, medications purchased over this platform can be 30% to 70% cheaper compared to Private Hospitals or Private Clinics.
Tele Medicine can address 70% of the reasons you need to visit a GP[1].
This platform is not designed to replace physical clinics, but to complement them.
